When it comes to festival security, event security or just a small gathering, ROPS Security & Training Ltd pride ourselves on offering only the most experienced personnel within the Security Industry providing (SIA) licensed security operatives and stewards where required.
Our operatives not only hold the frontline SIA licence, they strive to enhance their own careers. They do this by becoming qualified in many different areas ensuring a knowledge and ability to take control of any given situation. The qualifications can range from carrying out Dynamic risk assessments to responding and dealing with emergency first aid matters.
ROPS employ both Ex Serving personnel and current serving personnel from both regular and reserves, ensuring the standards expected in today’s current climate are maintained.

FRONTLINE SIA DOOR SUPERVISOR COURSE
4 day course held weekly or over two weekends
The door supervisor course will prepare you for working as a Door Supervisor giving you the ability to work as a Security Guard at no extra cost.
With an SIA door supervisor license you can work as a Door Supervisor at festivals and concerts, provide Security Guarding in shops, plus static guarding on the likes of industrial estates.
FIRST AID COURSE
Roles and responsibilities of the first aider
The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident and recognise signs and symptoms of injury and illness.
The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis.
Claim 80% off course fees
Individuals in the Armed Forces are able to use there SLC for some if not all of the courses on offer. The SLC scheme allows personnel to obtain financial assistance for learning costs.
You are able to claim 80% of your course fees, up to a maximum of £175 per financial year. To qualify for SLC funding, the course of study must lead to a nationally recognised qualification, have substantial developmental value and directly benefit the Service.

Topics covered include the key purposes of the private security industry, the differences between civil and criminal Law, the roles and responsibilities of each member of the CCTV team, the importance of accurate record-keeping, equipment fault reporting procedures, and actions to take if a suspicious object is found in the CCTV control room.
This qualification is assessed by a practical assessment and a multiple-choice examination
FIRE SAFETY WARDEN COURSE
Fire safety legislation applicable to events
You will gain partial unit sign off for the Level 3 Fire Safety Management (SFJ) if you wish to obtain a recognised qualification.
The fire safety warden course covers fire safety legislation and how it applies to events and your role as a fire warden. Fire behaviour in large open spaces, general fire precautions, the importance of clear escape routes, classifications of fire, fire extinguisher identification and demonstration.
